Creating a Culture of Christ Followers

Hi Supporters!

I realize that a lot of y’all reading this might be a little confused as to what it is that I’m doing here in Georgia. Honestly, I haven’t done a great job at explaining it. I didn’t really want/know how to explain it at the beginning because I didn’t know what I was getting into, myself (honestly). You see the program that I’m in – The Center for Global Action (CGA) IS a leadership and discipleship program. But after about 3 months of being an “Apprentice” in CGA, I’ve learned that there’s so much more to it than that.

As an apprentice here at the Center for Global Action, I am learning how to lead and disciple others to bring Kingdom. We have a saying in the program that goes like this:

Know yourself, lead yourself. Know others, lead others.

It’s about who your identity is in the Lord, and who He’s created you to be. You’ve got to get that first in order to be able to lead yourself in that full identity. This isn’t easy, digging up your false identity; the identity that tells you that you aren’t good enough. It’s actually really hard. But once you do begin the process of knowing yourself, you can then start leading yourself in your true identity. Knowing yourself allows you to know other people. It allows you to relate to the things that are going on in their lives, and ultimately lead them by speaking truth about who the Lord says they are. This is how they’re teaching us to become leaders in God’s kingdom.

This not only prepares me to live a missional life within my community, but to also bring that missional living to other communities across the globe. It’s about creating a culture of Jesus (Christ Followers) everywhere we go. Living a missional life, and walking people into freedom. It’s important that we continue the cycle of raising up leaders in the Christian Community, so we can maintain the overall vision: Kingdom Come. Nothing else will ever be as important.

So with that, I wanted to give y’all an update on fundraising. I am currently a little over half-way funded for my time here in Georgia, and I’ve got until November 5th to be fully funded with $5,950. This means that I still need $2,896 in just three days. I pray that you would consider partnering with me in this journey. Thank you so much for all the love and support I’ve already gotten. I love getting to do what I do and be where I be, and this wouldn’t be possible without y’all.

So much love and in Christ always,

Gabby
